You are dear, Sylvia.
Thank you for your support at a very difficult time for all kith and kin.

dear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

A sad day's start, saying goodbye to a dear childhood friend.
We will grow old -- die -- in this system of things . . .
You can say I love you over the phone, but cannot give that all-important hug. . . .
this tired, lonely man has been snared, but i protest little .
she holds me tenderly in her tightening but welcome thrall.
i cave willingly -- oh, so willingly -- to her amatory attentions.
You always state it so clearly, so eloquently, rip!
THANKS!

Move I forward, of plodding, deliberate step;
yet no further have I traveled that dusty road
that leads to the end of all ends, that heaven,
that hell our divines did promise us believers.
anyone here watch murdoch mysteries?
when i watch the program i hear a lot of words that are used at the kingdom hall.
it puzzled me for quite some time then i realized the connection.
There is an episode on murder in a Masonic Lodge where the "Great Architect" is mentioned: God.
That term has been used in WT literature not that far back.

Hooked on Murdoch -- love the chemistry among the four principals:
"And what have you, Constable Crabtree?"
"Well, sir, let's agree to disagree . . ."
"Have you ever heard me use a scientific term, Murdoch?" queries Chief Inspector Thomas Charles Brackenreid.
the governing body not only lies to it's members about their true history but also about life itself, worldly people and former members.. here are some of those lies that come to my mind.. .
"jw's are the happiest people on earth" -.
fact: depression, anxiety, fear of punishment, paranoia, is what jw's live with every day.
Thank you, Brother Conley, for information from the "top."

one of my dear loved ones called me.
she knows i am df'd and she wanted to reach out to me.
she fell away for a few years, and when she came back i had a study with her before she became active again.
Good morning, dear Kate:
Take it slow, take it easy. A good conversationalist is a good listener!

i am not a jehovah's witness but i am very interested, i have many questions and hope they can be answered here.. i do believe in god, privately.
i do say my prayers daily and do believe god helps me in countless ways.
but i don't go to any church.. i have always been impressed at how smart, polite and nice jehovah's witnesses are and i always make time to speak to them when they call at my door.
Welcome, LillyC, to the forum!
Best wishes.

just reading a thread and the mention of karma popped up.
( it happens, lol).
a lot of people believe in karma: what goes around comes around.. some months ago, while on another exjw site, karma was mentioned and i thought it a little odd, as they are atheist.
Hi rip:
I like K in movies and in literature, but I have learned to separate reality, as I perceive it, from fantasy, as I or other writers imagine it.
Nice topic!
